Marieve Herington

Marieve Herington began pursuing her twin passions of acting and singing at the age of nine.

Her acting began with commercial acting for KFC and progressed to guest starring on episodes of Disney's "The Famous Jett Jackson", Alliance Atlantis' "In a Heartbeat" and TNT's Movie of the Week "Evel Knievel" starring "CSI"'s George Eads and "My Name is Earl"'s Jaime Pressly.

Her acting extended beyond live work to animation, providing voices on "Franklin", "X- Men and "Franny's Feet” among others. Acting in animation led to her second passion, singing, and she has sang the theme songs of CBC's "Sesame Park", Nelvana's "Pippi Longstocking" and TVOntario's "Marigold's Mathemagics."

Aside from singing for animated shows, at age 12 Marieve began singing at local festivals and by the age of 14 was singing the anthems at sporting events including solo at the Skydome for a Blue Jays game. At the age of 16 Marieve put together her first jazz band and began playing jazz festivals. At age 18, she began recording her first solo album, "Blossoming", under her own label Maribelle Records, which was released September 2006. The album features tracks in both English and her mother tongue, French, mostly from her favorite jazz artist Blossom Dearie.
She would then join the group Babes in Jazzland and The Royal Jelly Orchestra and release 2 more albums in 2006. Tracks from all 3 releases regularly play on Jazz FM 91.1 and CBC among others.

A Governer General's Award recipient and Dean's List Scholar, Marieve completed the University College Drama Program at the University of Toronto, while both voicing the lead "Delilah" in Teletoon's animated spy show "Delilah and Julius" (2 seasons).

Then in 2008 she moved to Los Angeles. Since that time she has been actively working, doing voices for 23 full length anime films and recording their theme songs, voicing several bestselling American Greetings cards and popular Nintendo videogames, narrating internationally distributed textbooks, appearing in national commercial campaigns and hosting a highly rated online cooking show series.

Today she is the voice of the lead in the animated series "Pearlie", the new Canadian (Nelvana/ Corus) – Australian (Sticky Pictures) co-production, she can be heard twice weekly at prominent LA jazz venues, she is producing and hosting a new cooking show, “Cooking 4 Bachelors” to be released in 2011, she does the voices for several “Bratz” Doll products, and she plays the recurring role of “Betty” in the CBS sitcom “How I Met Your Mother” alongside Josh Radnor and Neil Patrick Harris.
